They communicate honestly with customers. Transparent about fraud risks. Clear protocols for verification. Partnership mindset rather than paternalistic "we'll handle it."

They accept that perfect prevention is impossible. They optimize for fast detection and rapid response rather than prevention only.

They maintain human expertise. AI tools for detection, but human judgment for final decisions on complex cases.

These institutions still experience fraud. But their losses are growing 10-20% annually rather than 100-200%. They're losing the race more slowly.
